Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Page One ("the App").

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

The App is a free language learning application that teaches languages through public domain literature. The App can be used without an account. You may optionally sign in with Apple to sync your progress across devices. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Content

All book content used in the App is in the public domain. The App's presentation, interface, and learning methodology are proprietary.

Permitted Use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and code (excluding public domain book content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The content will be accurate or complete
  • The App will meet your specific learning goals

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where possible.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
